Stories

Sonya Looney is a world champion professional athlete, mindset and mental skills coach and runs the popular podcast, The Sonya Looney Show. I had the pleasure of speaking with Sonya on her show and had an absolute blast. She has a genuine approach to interviewing her guests and guides the conversations seamlessly. When I started talking with Sonya, we both thought it would be really cool to make a bottle together. So, I'm pleased to introduce the Sonya Looney F*cking Magical bottle!

When we first came up with the idea of Bivo, we lived in Portland, OR. One of our good friends there, Angharad (we call her Ang for short), inspired us by her endless adventures and love for all types of riding.
We are a small team of six people living (mostly) in Vermont. We love product, challenges, being outside, bikes, and people. Our hometown of Richmond is nestled in the green mountains and is home to 40+ miles of mountain bike trails and hundreds of miles of dirt roads.
The year is coming to an end and we wanted to send a note to say a BIG thank you! We just closed out our second full year in business and we have to say, it’s fun to be part of this community! Thank you for the shares, cheers, hellos, photos and support.
Each year as the ski season hits, we get super excited to watch nordic skiing. Growing up, we could only dream of a time when we'd be able to watch the US team compete with Norway and Sweden. Now, we avoid social media at all costs on race day so it doesn't spoil the surprise of a win or a podium finish for the US.
Today is Women Led Wednesday and I’m proud to represent Bivo as a woman led business. Join us and #ShopWomenLed today and every day!
Fuel more fun. Where does that phrase come from? Robby and I have two kids and staying in shape isn’t exactly easy. We aren’t still riding, running and skiing because we want to be fast – we do it because it brings us so much joy and peace. We wanted Bivo to reflect that side of us.
A note from our co-founder, Carina Hamel. I am fairly new to cycling. I always said that I would never race bikes because it was the one sport where I hadn’t tried to be competitive before, and I wanted to keep it that way. I love riding and I am so happy to have it as part of my life. But wow, is it an intimidating sport!
Let's circle back, let's get personal. Carina and I think the timing is right to circle back to the beginning, to restart the conversation, to get personal, to share our stories, and to dive deep into who we are and what makes us tick at Bivo.
Bivo is proud to be woman-led, so during this Women's History Month we wanted to take a minute to interview our co-founder, Carina Hamel. Carina is a life-long athlete, a manufacturing expert, a passionate entrepreneur, the mother of two kids, and a strong advocate for women in business.
Rooted Vermont: A fast and fun affair that is more than a race. It is an experience, a collection of panels and speakers, and a community celebration.
We are two months in from our launch in December 2020. Among many things we have been having a lot of fun, learning tons and getting some great feedback on our bottles! We cannot thank all of our early supporters enough for their ongoing support in helping us bring a smarter, healthier performance cycling bottle to the world.
