Product Information

We recommend washing your Bivo regularly to keep it looking and tasting great.

Before initial use, wash your bottle and bottle components with mild soap and warm water.

To clean, remove the nozzle* and straw**, and unscrew the lid. You can wash your Bivo components by hand with warm water and a mild soap. While the bottle itself can be placed in the dishwasher we recommend hand washing with mild soap to preserve the tactile exterior coating.

*To remove your nozzle, first pull the nozzle up into the open position. With the lid removed, look inside the lid and find one of the three nozzle tabs. Press one of these tabs and pull your nozzle out at a slight angle. If it is difficult, try gently rocking your nozzle back and forth until it comes out easily. Do not force the nozzle out as it could cause damage.

**To remove your straw, simply pull on it from the halfway point until it pops off the lid.

We designed the Bivo One to fit into most universal bike cages.

After much testing, we have seen that not all cages are created equal. Don't worry...you can rest assured that your Bivo One will fit into most cages.

To help, we have created a list below of the cages we have tested and vetted for the Bivo One. These are the best fitting cages from our internal product testing and we will keep adding to this list as more testing is completed.

Best classic stainless/titanium wire cages:

- King Cage Stainless Steel

Best plastic/carbon cages:

- Arundel Mandible

- Arundel Bando

- Blackburn Camber

- Cannodale GT40 Carbon

- Octto Pro Carbon

Best side-access cages:

- TBD (testing in progress)

While our bottle itself is dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing it with warm water and mild soap to ensure you preserve your exterior finish.

Bivo bottles are made from recyclable 304 stainless-steel, the lid is made from FDA-grade and BPA free polypropylene (plastic #5), and all components including the straw, nozzle, o-rings, and the tactile exterior coating are made from food-grade silicone.

No (not yet at least), all Bivo One bottles are built with a single wall construction and are not insulated.

For our initial product release, we chose to focus on a single wall stainless-steel bottle for a lightweight cycling experience. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on new product releases because an insulated bottle is hot on our list!!

While your Bivo One will seal shut, it is not completely leak-proof. We do not reccomend putting your bottle in a bag with items that are sensitive to liquid.

The lid is made from #5 recyclable plastic. The components (nozzle, straw, o-ring) and the bottle need to be recycled through a local municipal recycling program. We recommend reaching out to your local recycling community to find the appropriate location for recycling your Bivo.

We designed Bivos to be recyclable and it is important to us to help make this process easier. We are working to find easier solutions to make recycling your Bivo a quicker process. Until then, please reach out at thirsty@drinkbivo.com if you have any recycling questions.
