Stories

We have this saying in the product world that you must be careful not to create a product for yourself. The last thing you all need is a bottle designed by one of us without us stopping to think about all the incredible feedback and thoughts you have shared.
Back in 2019, on a cross country ski on Mt Hood, the idea of a non-plastic cycling bottle was born. We had this big realization that we consumed water out of plastic in all the sports and activities we loved. Cycling, in particular, jumped out as having a huge problem waiting to be tackled. We are product geeks at heart and from that moment forward we jumped straight into the world of bottles. WOW, did we have a lot to learn!
Back when we first named Bivo, before we had even a prototype, we got very excited to get our name out in the world and one of the ways of doing that was making hats and t-shirts. We searched high and low for t-shirts and hats that were environmentally friendly, and really really struggled finding hats.
In the early days of Bivo (pre-bottle development) we asked a lot of you some of your pain points in cycling bottles. One of the biggest complaints was cleaning your bottle. So making a Bivo easy to clean was one of the top things on our list of must-haves.
Hi friends, Izzy here from Bivo. As you can see with our new color mix up series, I love colors! The brighter the better. I think that mixing and matching your bottle base and lids makes a long training ride so much more fun.
One, Duo, Trio, GO! What is the difference between all your bottles you say?! This week, our team created videos outlining the different features and benefits of each of our bottles. Check them out! #fuelmorefun
The verdict is out – you keep telling us you are drinking more water while using a Bivo. When we created the Bivo Gravity Flow lid, we wanted you to be able to drink a clean stream of water quickly, and it turns out, you do drink more because of it!
Check out our latest custom collaboration with GU Energy Labs. WhenGU Energy Labs wanted to do a GU x Bivo bottle, it felt a little extra special and nostalgic. Thanks GU Energy Labs, for joining the ride!
You have probably noticed, but we love color at Bivo! It’s always an exciting time when we get to launch something new and bright! #fuelmorefun Without further ado, introducing our brand new bright Red in our Bivo One and Bivo Duo!
Want to share some love and hydration with your coworkers and teammates? Bivo's customization program can bring some smiles to faces and loud wows the first time they see the bottles pour. #gowiththeflow
The Bivo Artist Series is a collection of bottles featuring femme, trans, female and non-binary artists. In creating this collection, we are seeking to find underrepresented cyclists who have a knack for really cool design. Because we love art and cycling, we want to blend them together by using our bottles as a canvas.

A lot of women have been asking us if the new Bivo Trio will fit in their bike frames. When we started designing our first insulated bottle, we wanted to make sure all riders could fit their bottle on their frame. After all, I ride an extra small frame and I wanted to be able to use it on my bike! It wasn't easy but after several design and engineering tweaks, we got there.
