Over the years we’ve heard all of the ideas on what to build, do, or change with Bivo. While it’s important to listen to these ideas, Bivo co-founder Carina touches on the importance of saying “no” and ruthless prioritization.
This week, Bivo co-founder Robby shares how a late-night call from a family member turned into one of the most exciting innovations for Bivo!
Bivo Turns 5 Today! It has been a wild (and fun) ride through product development, early events where we didn't even have a bottle yet, and, most recently, navigating tariffs, international expansion and learning about other industries.
In this week's Founders' Series, Carina reflects on her time as a female athlete and the steps she's taking going forward to support women on bikes!
In our latest Founders Series post, our co-founder Robby reflects on the chaos, the joy, and what it means to try (and sometimes fail) to find balance between parenting and running a company.
Oof, the last eight weeks have been a doozy.
In early April, new tariffs were imposed on goods from China. Our bottles—like 95% of the stainless steel bottles in the world—are made just outside of Shanghai. The new tariff hit was staggering: 154% on insulated bottles and 47% on non-insulated. These numbers weren’t just painful—they were unsustainable.
To be honest, it was gutting. We looked at the math and knew we couldn’t keep running the business the way we had been. And for a moment, we wondered—can we survive this?
Robby headed to the Vermont State House to share Bivo's perspective as a small business on how tariffs are already impacting impacting Bivo and advocate for small businesses in Vermont and around the country.
A note from Carina and Robby as small business owners.
We love embracing adventure, whether it's out in nature or here at Bivo, everything is all about adventure and having fun in the unknown.
Robby Ringer shares the story of how Bivo almost imploded before it began, and how the community support from all of you made all the difference.

"I wasn't so sure about receiving a newsletter from a water bottle company. But every one I've read has been great! Keep up the great work!"
