Bivo co-founder Carina Hamel looks back at the past 4 years of owning Bivo, and realizes the most important thing for Bivo has been listening to customers.

Carina shares her perspective on how giving oneself time and space leads to positive change and how, for her and Robby, it eventually led them to the idea for stainless steel cycling bottles and Bivo!

Between me and Robby, we make up a pretty amazing one-two punch. Recently, we were on a podcast with Liz Bohannon (best selling author, former client & friend) and her husband, Ben to talk about working as a couple. Ben and Liz worked together for quite some time and back when we lived in Portland, we had offices in the same building. We’d often walk to lunch together and there was always an ad hoc story that made us laugh because we totally got each other.

If we hadn't trusted our gut, we might not have started Bivo. While some people thought our idea for a metal cycling bottle would never take off, we trusted our gut, knowing we had an idea for something unique that had big potential.

Welcome to our Founders' Series! Robby and I (with some pushing from our advisors) have decided to start writing about the things we face day to day. We will start with publishing them once a month and if you like them, we will do more frequent updates.
