Wrapping up our year
December 27th, 2025 | by Keaton Smith
One of my favorite things to do at the end of every year–that I always rope my family into doing with me (they like it!) is to ask everyone to go through all their photos from the past year and create a new album of their favorite moments from the year.
We all put together our albums, then screen share on the family TV and reflect on our favorite memories from our years. It’s fun to relish in the good times and remember small things we may have forgotten! Plus, we don’t live in the same states anymore, so ensuring we all are up to date on the big and small things in each other’s lives is important.
Thank you Joshua Strong for the header image!
It was a big year at Bivo and, honestly, we’re always doing so many things that it can be easy to forget the small moments from months ago that made us happy.
So, I asked everyone on the team to go through all their photos and pick one of their favorite Bivo memories from the year - something that has always stood out or something minor yet joyous they may have forgotten!
To wrap up the year, I’m excited to share a little album of the whole team’s favorite moments from the year, big and small : )

Pictured above: 1. Enjoying the last of the summer sun as a team. 2. Setting up for our Women in Cycling event we hosted this fall. 3. Moving into our new warehouse space meant cleaning out all of the existing furniture - fun! 4. The team gearing up to start demolition in our new warehouse space!

My favorite moment was meeting Duncan Covey in person at Rouleur in London! Duncan rode around the world with our bottles and he wrote a few amazing stories for our Quench'd series. It was so fun to work with him throughout his journey and connecting in person was the best!

The Bivo Summer Bash! In January 2025, Lily kicked off the Bivo Club, our monthly run or bike in Richmond. Getting to know our community this way was amazing. Our biggest event of the year was the Bivo Summer Bash, where we offered three activities: Mountain bike, trail run and gravel ride, then gathered back together for homemade pizza, ice cream and an epic local band of blazer-wearing, stool-sitting guitarists.

Heading up to Montreal to co-host a women’s group ride with Les Fines Garnottes. The ride started at night near the biosphere in Montreal, and we took off with headlamps across a mix of smooth paths and the wildest gravel singletrack that paralleled the river. Charlotte loved meeting so many nice people and introducing Bivo to an awesome group!

Making her acting debut during the filming of the Bivo documentary! For the film, we needed some mountain biking videos and Caitlin immediately volunteered to help out. She led the charge of riders all around the Cochran's trails, and happily hiked her bike right back up whenever we needed a do-over shot.

Being a Bivo bartender one night at the Momentum art show over the weekend of Rebecca’s Private Idaho. Mark seriously loves a ludicrous outfit so he was thrilled to dress up and mix up cocktails in Bivos for all the attendees of the art show.

Though it was in the middle of a very tough time, Carina enjoyed welcoming Peter Eavis, a NYT reporter into Bivo’s office to tell the story on how small businesses like Bivo were impacted by tariffs. The team rallied around welcoming Peter for the day, and wrote a little whiteboard message that Carina thought embodied the true welcoming and earnest spirit of the Bivo team!

This year was full of pivots, twists, turns, and a whole lot of grit, and Robby’s favorite moments were when the hard work all came to life! One example of this is getting to meet the team at our first Japanese retailer Circles! They are seriously the coolest shop.

Experiencing the amazing energy at the Portland, OR MADE Bike show! Peter, Mark, and Rob all had a blast chatting with cycling lovers at this show, thriving despite the 100+ degree day.

Andrew has been dedicated to our monthly run club since day 1 at Bivo! His favorite moment from 2025 at Bivo was our athlete send off run, as we wished our athletes Ben Ogden, Julia Kern, and Chloe Levins good luck as they were about to begin their season racing in Europe! (We have an update on their season so far here!)

Thank you again for supporting us all on this wild ride and for bring there for the ups and downs this year has brought. We've truly had so much fun navigating everything life has thrown at us and of course we couldn't have done it without all of you amazing people! If you've been sporting a bottle during your own adventures or if you've spread the Bivo love to a friend, thank you. This has never been just about a water bottle. The community we have around us as we go into the new year is one that we're so proud of. We're so excited to see what 2026 will bring!
