To celebrate our new Events page, we're looking back on the history of events at Bivo. Sure, we're a small team, but that hasn't stopped us from traveling all over the US (and the rest of the world) to try and meet as many of you all as possible. Events are integral to who we are at Bivo. If you're able to come to any of our planned upcoming events, pop by our booth to say hi, we'd love to see you! Cheers, -- Team Bivo
Bivo showed up at events long before we had a bottle to show.
Cycling has been part of my life since the early 2000s, when my dad turned our 2.5 km Nordic ski loop into a cyclocross course. Some of the nation’s best - Ellen Noble, Jeremy Powers, Stephen Hyde - raced that little loop. I may have come to cycling through a Nordic lens, but I always knew the connection was real and lasting.

Fast forward to the idea of Bivo. Before we had a physical prototype, we plopped ourselves back into the cross community, this time in Portland, Oregon. In 2019, we sponsored Cross Crusade without even having a bottle in hand. We got the frequent comment:
It probably was weird to those who saw us that we were talking about a product that didn’t yet exist. But we were so excited, we couldn’t not show up. We hosted bike wash competitions, cheered for friends, and spent every fall weekend exhausted, wrangling a one-year-old and heading into Monday ready to build what we had been talking about all weekend.

Then we launched.
COVID complicated everything. Events were canceled. Spectators were limited. But when the world opened back up, we went straight back in.

Our first big return was Rooted VT, hosted by our now friends Ted and Laura King, right in Richmond, where Bivo is headquartered. At the time, our inventory was still at my parents’ house in Western Massachusetts. We sold so many bottles on day one that Robby left after the event, drove to Massachusetts, and came back with more inventory before the second day started.

In 2022, with an almost two-year-old and a five-year-old in tow, Robby and I packed up and drove across the country through Iowa, Colorado, Montana, Texas and Wisconsin showing up at events big and small.

Events truly fuel Bivo, in so many ways. The love for them runs through the entire team. So when Lily asked for a dedicated events page, everyone jumped in to build it.
Take a look at where we’ll be this year (events page) - the events we return to, the communities we love, and the pop-ups along the way.
We can’t wait to see you out there.
