Jake's Go-To

Jake's Go-To

Distance: 5 Miles

Vertical: 527'

Trail Type: Mountain Bike

Retailer: Down Valley Bicycle, Rutland, VT

Description: For a sampling of all Rutland’s Pine Hill Park has to offer, ride Jake’s Go-To. This route combines the best of the park’s old-school singletrack with the newer machine-built flow trails. And for Vermont, there’s not much climbing! For a more challenging downhill with a couple of can’t-see-over-the-top drops, take Broken Handlebar down to Jigsaw. If you prefer to see where you’re dropping, ride Jersey Turnpike (don’t worry—no tolls! Or asshat drivers) to Santa’s Helper to Jigsaw instead.

There's a seriously good breakfast sandwich waiting for you.

A breakfast sandwich on a homemade biscuit at the Speakeasy Café. A lunch sandwich at The Bakery. Prouty’s Parlor for ice cream. Or Roots the Restaurant for the braised pork or quinoa salad and local brews on tap. Just wipe the dust off your legs and face first and maybe wear a collared shirt.

Featuring dancing veggies, this bottle celebrates not only the joys of late summer produce, but also the farmers behind the crops! This Support Local Farmerscycling water bottle is made in collaboration with Anna Christian, a graphic designer and bike lover based in Atlanta.

Have you ever noticed how the toughest workouts seem to always be your favorite? At least, they always are for Ed Hamel and he shares with us what makes him love endurance sports so much.
How do we use our bottles outside of cycling? On horseback, skis, foot, or anywhere else!
