The evening started at the Bivo tent. Cars started filling up the parking lot as people pumped up their tires, tied their laces, and checked in with our ride leads. We saw some familiar faces from last year with lots of new ones who brought a friend. Welcome to the bash.

Bikers set out from Cochran's on a scenic route through the backroads in Richmond. The riders split up into 3 different ride length, with different pace groups for each There was an option for everyone to enjoy. Gravel roads are abundant here but don't expect any land speed records, we've got some hills!

Richmond's bike trails are some of the best around. Every weeknight, during the summer months, you can find the local lots packed with riders from near and far. They're here to experience the amazing free trail network Richmond has access too. Thanks to Richmond Mountain Trails and VMBA, Richmond continues to be a unique mountain bike hub. Cochran's is home to some of the most iconic routes, the bash riders were in for a treat.

This year we were so exited to be bale to offer and option for younger athletes. Thanks to VTYC, we had an option for kids to join in on the Bash.

For those of us who prefer to stay off of the wheels, we had a trail run option, too. The runners headed up the mountain on foot to the iconic prayer flags. The lush green woods are beautiful this time of year, but don't get too distracted by the beauty. The trails are fun, techy, and full of twists and turns. Pick up your feet!

Local vendors and live music were waiting for activity goers to return to Cochran's. What's better than hotdogs, pizza, and beer after a run or bike with friends?

Thank you to everyone who made this night so special. We're so thankful to be a part of an amazing community of people who love to get outside and have some fun. And of course, we're excited to do it all again next year!
