"As a shop that has seen the evolution of every riding category over the years, we’ve reveled in the unstoppable uprise of gravel riding. Gravel has grown synonymous with adventure, and adventure has steadily evolved into The Epic, with mileage and climbing elevation that can border on a test of might and will.

But for us, a laugh-filled, low-entry day out with friends will never be defeated.

Thus, we created GOOD GRVL, a decidedly non-epic social gravel ride series mapped out for Max Fun. This series explores different quadrants around Portland, offering a tasty sampling of the region’s best off-pavement riding areas with plenty of room for viewpoint re-groups and in-the-saddle storytelling."

“Making new bike friends is at the heart of these rides, and the post-ride tailgate re-fuel is one of our favorite rituals—RCB sandwich bar for the win!”

Another option is indulging in some local cuisine near each of the ride starts. All taco trucks are not created equal, so here we’ve offered up a favorite spot for each route. Grab your crew, fill your bottles, and explore some GOOD GRVL! From the best coffee around to seriously delicious black bean huevos, the Portland area more than lives up to its culinary reputation.
